Nature art classes connect children to the environment. Themed classes for outer space and deep sea projects encourage inquisitive minds. Families can spend creative time together in classes for parent and child. Activities include painting, drawing, clay molding by hand and on the wheel and glazing.

Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field ~ San Francisco, through May 26, 2014
Wonder as you wander under eight towering steel sculptures by artist Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field. Set against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge, with plenty of space to run and play, the sculptures swerve, soar, and move with the breeze, creating dynamic lines that frame and reframe the surrounding landscape in surprising new ways. This free yearlong exhibition is presented by SFMOMA in partnership with the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.

The Sketch Collective ~ San Francisco
The Sketch Collective is a positive and nurturing San Francisco art studio. We specialize in fundamental drawing classes for ages 5 and up, and also offer weekend workshops and camps to learn specific techniques, create crafts and study the work of particular artists. Our teaching and supervision ratio is less than 5:1 and all of our teachers are working artists. Please visit our website at www.sketch-collective.com, email sfsketchcollective@gmail.com or call 415-762-0727. Have a beautiful day!

Monart Drawing Studio ~ Berkeley
Monart teaches realistic drawing skills. Our curriculum includes a wide variety of subjects and media. Monart is known as a program that achieves artistic skills while having fun. Students learn about the subjects they draw, gain focus and concentration skills, and learn problem solving. At Monart every student receives enough structure for success and enough freedom for individual creative expression. Classes are taught by Mona Brookes, the author of "Drawing with Children."

Time for Art ~ San Francisco
Our teaching method is based in helping your child develop artistic skills while nurturing the imagination. Fun, innovative, small group classes at Sweet Sanctum, a studio and salon-style performance space in the Haight-Ashbury district. Our spacious patio is an inspiration in itself—filled with flowers and visiting birds.

Children’s Art Workshop Series ~ San Francisco
NEW Lower Cost! Explore the themes of exhibitions on display at San Francisco art museums, develop drawing and painting skills, and cultivate unique artistic gifts in a small group setting! Workshops are offered once a month for groups of four to six children, and students receive personal instruction tailored to individual interests and ability.
