Academic Camps are designed to provide children who are enthusiastic learners with academic instruction and experiences beyond what they typically receive during the school year. Academic camps are often held at K-12 private school campuses and local universities.

Academic Camps
Camp Edventure More ~ San Francisco, Marin & East Bay Locations
Camp "Edmo" features fun, hands-on activities designed by the Bay Area's best kid museums: Exploratorium, CA Academy of Sciences, Museum of Children's Art, Zeum and the YMCA. Instructors and college counselors lead K-5 campers through Art, Science, and Recreation stations plus silly camp games, songs & skits. Older campers (3-5th grade) can also enroll in new Animation sessions. (Older campers, check out Camp EdTech)
Camp Lango ~ San Francisco Bay Area
At Camp Lango, kids ages 4-9 will “travel” to South American jungles, rain forests and mountain villages & have a summertime blast while learning Spanish! Campers learn Spanish during “Solamente Español” time (Spanish immersion periods), engage in outdoor games, arts & crafts and cultural-immersion activities throughout a fast-paced, fun-filled week. Half-, full- and extended-day options are available.
iD Tech Camps: Hands-On Technology Fun! ~ Stanford/Palo Alto, Berkeley, Moraga, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Davis
Weeklong day and overnight summer technology programs for ages 7-17 at 50 prestigious universities in 23 states. Create 2D and 3D video games, digital movies, websites, robots, and more. Sports & Tech at Stanford and Surf & Tech at UC Santa Cruz. Save with code WD33.
iD Gaming Academy ~ Stanford/Palo Alto
For 2 weeks, teens are immersed in the dynamic world of game development and professional gaming. Courses include: Game Modeling with Maya®, Game Programming and Camp Fatality™. Students leave with a gaming portfolio, cutting-edge software and tools to excel in the fields of game development and professional video gaming. At night enjoy gaming tournaments and LAN parties. iD Film Academy ~ Berkeley/San Francisco
Lights, camera, Action! Filming on location in the SF Bay Area, teens will produce a movie with Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects. Students also experience UC Berkeley during this 2 week course. Save with code WD33.
Lekha Creative Writing Camps ~ San Jose
A fun program where Kids write, author, and publish! They explore the many genres in creative writing and also improve basic writing and comprehension skills. Laptops are provided for each child to format their original works. Weekly sessions in small groups for grades K-8 throughout summer.
