General Camps are what many parents experienced as children... sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming and often a weekly field trip. Fortunately, many camps still offer this type of summer fun for your children.




General Day Camps

California Adventure Camps ~ Walnut Creek
California Adventure Camps offers traditional day, skateboard, teen, tour, instructional tackle football, winter break and high adventure overnight summer camps for ages 4-18.

Camp Edventure More ~ San Francisco, Marin & East Bay Locations
Camp "Edmo" features fun, hands-on activities designed by the Bay Area's best kid museums: Exploratorium, CA Academy of Sciences, Museum of Children's Art, Zeum and the YMCA. Instructors and college counselors lead K-5 campers through Art, Science, and Recreation stations plus silly camp games, songs & skits. Older campers (3-5th grade) can also enroll in new Animation sessions. (Older campers, check out Camp EdTech)

Camp Galileo ~ 19 locations in San Jose, San Francisco, Marin and East Bay
Camp Galileo combines top quality art, science and outdoor activities with fun camp traditions and dynamic staff to create an experience pre-kinder through entering 5th graders love. Curriculum is developed in partnership with The Tech Museum of Innovation, de Young Museum and Klutz. Voted "Best of the Bay" in Bay Area Parent and San Francisco magazines.

Camp Lango ~ San Francisco Bay Area
At Camp Lango, kids ages 4-9 will “travel” to South American jungles, rain forests and mountain villages & have a summertime blast while learning Spanish!  Campers learn Spanish during “Solamente Español” time (Spanish immersion periods), engage in outdoor games, arts & crafts and cultural-immersion activities throughout a fast-paced, fun-filled week. Half-, full- and extended-day options are available.

Camp Roughing It ~ Lafayette (transportation provided from San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Contra Costa County)
Celebrating our 36th year and voted "Best of the Bay," Roughing It is an all-outdoors lakefront Day Camp located in Lafayette. Instruction in horseback riding, swimming, sports, fishing, and more. Transportation and extended care provided.

Camp Shelanu ~ Walnut Creek
Summer camp for ages 6-9. Swimming, arts and crafts, late-nights, field trip, dress-up/theme days, and electives all interwoven with a warm Judaic curriculum.

City Campers find out how cities work and what makes them special while developing skills to be safe and healthy urban explorers. Most of all, City Camp is FUN!

Coastal Camp at Headlands Institute ~ Sausalito
Everyday at Coastal Camp is an opportunity for adventure and discovery in the outdoors. Participate in games, adventures, sailing trips, arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, and more in the Marin Headlands! Weekly sessions for grades 1 – 9!

Galileo Summer Quest ~ Atherton
A fun new program from the creators of Camp Galileo and The Tech Museum Summer Camps, featuring in-depth courses and leadership development for entering 5th-8th graders. Offered this summer at Sacred Heart Preparatory in Atherton.

iD Tech Camps: Hands-On Technology Fun! ~ Stanford/Palo Alto, Berkeley, Moraga, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Davis
