Camp Galileo is the only Bay Area summer day camp for pre-K to rising 5th graders that encourages kids to brainstorm, create and think like innovators through the Galileo Innovation Approach. Each week-long summer camp session centers around an imaginative story or theme, which inspires art, science and outdoor projects for campers to explore. Intro to Studio Production (ages 10-14) introduces youth to media production. Students will use KMVT’s professional studio and equipment to gain basic skills in screenwriting, storyboarding, camera work, lighting, directing, sound design, acting, and editing. Students will produce an entire production, which will be broadcast on cable Channel KMVT15!

Celsius and Beyond ~ San Francisco
Celsius and Beyond, a boutique science camp for K-8 kids, offers fun, engaging hands-on activities where scientists teach kids science that is relevant to their lives. Programs include: Astronomy, Top Chef, Dissection, Oceans, Bugs, Robotics and more. Sessions have 5 hours daily science instruction with only 12-14 kids for maximum attention.

Youth Science Institute ~ Los Gatos, San Jose
Youth Science Institute offers hands-on science for entering Pre-K – 6th graders at Vasona and Alum Rock park from June through August. Camps are week long, half day, with an extended day option. Featured at the Tech Museum, Stanford’s Robot Block Party, and San Mateo Times, Wizbots is Bay Area’s premier creative robotics and engineering program. Urban Adventure Camps ~ Oakland
Urban Adventure Camps is unique week-long day camp for children ages 8-15. Camp begins each morning at Rockridge Bart in Oakland where campers meet their group and begin their day’s adventure. Groups visit museums, parks, galleries, and various other urban attractions and citycenters. Public transportation is used to travel between locations, thereby developing the campers’ knowledge and confidence when travelling within a city. Each session focuses on one of the following subject areas: physical science, natural science, history and art.

Hands-on and discovery based laboratory science programs for 1st through 6th graders. Students connect with the exciting ideas of science through their own experimental explorations. Experiment based historical journeys through science guide students to the grand science concepts of our time. Students conduct a series of experiments and are challenge to make sense of their own data.
