Featured Events
Seals + Slippers ~ Sausalito, April 25 & May 23
Camp out under the stars at The Marine Mammal Center in the beautiful Marin Headlands.  Learn about marine life with hands-on activities, take a sneak peek behind-the-scenes, enjoy a healthy dinner and see our patients have their evening meal.  Wake up to the sounds of barking sea lions and enjoy a continental breakfast.  Then hike down to Rodeo Lagoon (to try to spot the resident river otter family) and spend some time at Rodeo Beach discovering rainbows in the sand!

Lady Bug Girl and Bumble Bee Boy ~ Berkeley, San Ramon, Mill Valley & San Francisco, April 12-June 29
This world premiere musical will buzz into your heart, as Lulu, Sam, and their playground friends explore the power of imagination. Inspired by the wildly popular picture books by David Soman and Jacky Davis.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown presented by CMT ~ San Jose, May 1-4
Take your Peanuts gang to the Montgomery Theater for the CMT Rising Stars presentation of the Charles Schultz' famous comic strip. Sing along with Snoopy, Charlie Brown and Lucy and see if our good buddy, Chuck, can finally kick that football or get a date with the little red headed girl! Children’s Art Workshop Series ~ San Francisco, May 17 & June 14
Explore the themes of exhibitions on display at San Francisco art museums, develop drawing and painting skills, and cultivate unique artistic gifts in a small group setting! Workshops are offered once a month for groups of four to six children, and students receive personal instruction tailored to individual interests and ability. In the May 17th workshop, students will create vibrant paintings inspired by the cherry blossom trees in bloom at the Japanese Tea Garden.

Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field
(Free) ~ San Francisco, through May 26
Wonder as you wander under eight towering steel sculptures by artist Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field. Set against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge, with plenty of space to run and play, the sculptures swerve, soar, and move with the breeze, creating dynamic lines that frame and reframe the surrounding landscape in surprising new ways. This free yearlong exhibition is presented by SFMOMA in partnership with the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.

San Francisco Youth Ballet Presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream" ~ San Francisco, May 31 & June 1
A ballet about the transforming power of love, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is based on William Shakespeare’s comedy about the romantic adventures and misadventures, quarrels and reuniting, of two pairs of mortal lovers, Hermia and Lysander, and the fairy king, Oberon, and Titania, his queen. It leads to a hysterical comedy of misguided love. In the end, all is righted and the story concludes with a beautiful wedding in the forest. It is a classic story brought to life through ballet and the music of Mendelssohn. Tickets $15 (Child and Adult).

Lynn Douthit School of Dance Year End Dance Performance (Free) ~ San Francisco, May 31
Don't miss the exciting 2014 Year End Dance Performance of tap, jazz and tumbling from Lynn Douthit School of Dance in San Francisco. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm Tickets are FREE.

Broken? Fix It! at Bay Area Discovery Museum ~ Sausalito, May 24 - September 8
Things break; that's a given. From the Stone Age wheel to the modern computer, all technologies throughout history at some time have needed repairs. When something breaks, what do you do? Broken? Fix it! invites visitors to embrace the broken as they discover the joy and satisfaction in making things whole or usable again. The exhibition builds creative thinking and problem solving skills and fosters cooperation and teamwork as families and groups solve broken things together.
